Pupil Alignment
The Meta Quest 2 lenses are made with Fresnel lenses to keep the unit as light-weight as possible.
This means the center point provides the clearest view and should line up with your pupil. Adjust the headset:
- Horizontally by adjusting the head strap.
- Vertically by using the 3 lens positions.
- To ensure you are using the setting closest to your pupil distance, measure your interpupillary distance (IPD). Your IPD can be measured easily with the GlassesOn app, available in the Apple or Android app stores, and a magnetic strip credit card.
- The Meta Quest 2 eye positions IDP settings are
- 58 millimeters - closest setting
- 63 millimeters - middle setting
- 68 millimeters - furthest setting
- Choose the setting closest to your IPD.
- Close to your eye. Remove the glasses spacer, if you are not wearing glasses. Not too close, so your lashes rub against it. Your natural oil can blur the view on the lenses.
Smudges, Perspiration, or Fog
Clean the lenses with a dry microfiber cloth in a circular motion.
Vision Impairment
The headset comes with an included glasses spacer to allow you to wear your glasses and not scratch wither the headset eye piece or your glasses. If this is uncomfortable, many companies offer prescription lenses that snap over the headset lenses, eliminating the need for your glasses while wearing the headset.
Dry eyes
- Take a break.
- Ensure your headset is seated properly on your face.
- Use some eye drops.
