Cast From a Meta Quest Headset to a Computer
Windows Instructions
- Firmly connect both ends of the USB Casting Cable between the headset to the computer.
- Inside the headset, you will find a prompt requesting permission to allow the connected device to access files.
- Using a hand controller, click Allow.
- Select Allow as many times as necessary.
- For the Enable Oculus Link? prompt, select Not Now.
- Screen Copy (scrcpy) is available in 64-bit and 32-bit versions. Click one of the following links:
- The 64-bit SCRCPY files
- The 32-bit SCRCPY files
Note: If you are unsure which Windows Operating System you have, download the 32-bit version.
4. Click the green Download button to download the entire folder.
5. Unzip the downloaded file by right-clicking on it
- Select Extract All.
- Choose a location to extract the files
- Follow the prompts.
6. Run the SCRCPY app by double-clicking on the appropriate .bat file located inside the unzipped folder.
- Use _Cast.bat to cast
- Use _Record.bat to cast and record. This recording will save to the same folder after the program has been closed.
Note: If you receive a message on your computer that states Windows protected your PC, click More Info, then click Run Anyway.
If nothing happens, or the window appears & disappears, look in headset & click Allow again. View scrcpy in a larger window by clicking the standard Windows maximize button in the upper right-hand corner.
