Cast From a Meta Quest Headset to a Computer

Windows Instructions

  1. Firmly connect both ends of the USB Casting Cable between the headset to the computer. 
  2. Inside the headset, you will find a prompt requesting permission to allow the connected device to access files.
    1. Using a hand controller, click Allow
    2. Select Allow as many times as necessary.
    3. For the Enable Oculus Link? prompt, select Not Now. 
  3. Screen Copy (scrcpy) is available in 64-bit and 32-bit versions.  Click one of the following links:
    1. The 64-bit SCRCPY files
    2. The 32-bit SCRCPY files
Note: If you are unsure which Windows Operating System you have, download the 32-bit version.
4. Click the green Download button to download the entire folder.
5. Unzip the downloaded file by right-clicking on it
  1. Select Extract All
  2. Choose a location to extract the files
  3. Follow the prompts.
6. Run the SCRCPY app by double-clicking on the appropriate .bat file located inside the unzipped folder.
  1. Use _Cast.bat to cast
  2. Use _Record.bat to cast and record. This recording will save to the same folder after the program has been closed.
Note: If you receive a message on your computer that states Windows protected your PC, click More Info, then click Run Anyway

If nothing happens, or the window appears & disappears, look in headset & click Allow again.
