Turning off the Meta Quest 2

The Power Button

The power button is located on the right side (when wearing) of the device.


Sleep Mode

Sleep mode allows your headset to automatically wake when put on someone’s head. This state uses less battery power than on, but is more draining than off. To put in sleep mode, press and release the power button. 

Turn off

Turning off the device conserves battery charge and must be turned on with the power button to utilize. To turn off:
  1. a three-second hold fully powers down the unit. It is indicated by:

    • The indicator light illuminates brighter, then turns off.

    • The power down chime will play.

  • a 1-second hold press:

    • With the device powered on, will open a window with the following options:

      • Restart

      • Power off

      • Cancel

    • Use the hand controller's ray and trigger to make a selection.
