Getting Started With Your New Lessons

After you order your headset, it will be delivered to you. The box will contain everything  you need to get started. To view contents, click here.

Power on your headset by pressing and holding the power button for 2 seconds. When you release it, you should see the Meta logo inside the lenses as it boots up.
Place headset straps over the back of your head and position the lenses over your eyes.
Tighten the horizontal side straps by sliding the plastic bars towards your ears.
Tighten the top strap by pulling on the top tab of the Velcro, set to the comfortable distance, and press the Velcro back together.

To use the controllers, place your hands through each controller loop and tighten the bead.

The controllers have three types of buttons.
  1. Trigger - used by your index fingers to select items.
  2. Grip - used by your middle fingers to hold items.
  3. Buttons - pressed by your thumbs.

Follow the on-screen instructions, using your controllers, to set up your stationary boundary. The built-in guides assist you with setting up either a stationary or room-scale play area. If you experience any Guardian issues, rebooting the headset by pressing and holding the power button will prompt you to set up the Guardian again. For more information and additional troubleshooting, please see this article Once you have completed the Guardian set up, the app will launch.

If you have not been provided a 4-digit code, create one and enter it in the headset. This will be your set code to enter for every instance.  After the Unity logo displays, select the Lesson Zero Tutorial Video to familiarize yourself with the controls used in the app. Once a lesson is selected, the Video & Exercise launch buttons are displayed below the lesson numbers.
